GFPS: Scozzafava endorses Stec and Owens

Moriah Supervisor Tom Scozzafava is backing fellow Republican Dan Stec in the state Assembly race, but is crossing party lines to endorse U.S. Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, for re-election to Congress.

“I’m with Bill Owens 100 percent,” Scozzafava said in a telephone interview on Monday. “I’ve know Bill Owens for a number of years. Bill Owens has a done a great job since he has been in the House. He is responsive to my constituents' needs here in my community in Essex County.”
